Education TitaNext

The program that opens pathways for the youth of Rincón del Mar.

TitaNext is a bridge that connects young people to a real future. Through vocational guidance, self-discovery, personalized mentorship and study scholarships, we support 11th-grade students and recent graduates in their transition to higher education, employment and adult life.

Our program provides the tools that youth need to discover their talents, make informed decisions and build a life plan with purpose. Since 2023, we have accompanied four generations of students, many of whom are now taking their first steps in universities, technical and technological programs, and the workforce.

Meet the students supported by the program and discover how education transforms lives and strengthens community development in Colombia’s Caribbean region.

The Challenge:

The Educational Reality in
Rincón del Mar

TitaNext was born from listening to the voices of young people in Rincón del Mar who, after finishing high school, found little guidance or support to continue their educational journey.

In San Onofre, Sucre, the educational context presents significant challenges:

  • More than 75% of the rural population lives in multidimensional poverty (DANE 2020).

  • Less than 15% of high school graduates access post-secondary education.

  • Economic barriers make it difficult to study outside the municipality.

  • The digital divide limits access to educational and employment opportunities.

Without guidance or real opportunities, too many dreams stop before they even begin.
TitaNext was created to break these barriers through an innovative educational model adapted to the rural context: one that allows youth to move forward despite the limitations of their environment.

From Intention to Opportunity

Each year, 15 young people begin a training process that can accompany them for up to three years.

So far, 58 students have participated, and among the 30 who have already completed the program:

  • 83% have entered higher education (technical, technological or university programs).

  • 14 living-expense scholarships have been awarded to support studies outside the municipality.

  • All participants receive ongoing academic, emotional and vocational guidance.

Our Methodology

Intensive training in key skills

Workshops to increase self-knowledge, vocational exploration, communication skills, critical thinking and life-plan development.

Personalized mentorship

Each student develops a life plan grounded in their personal and territorial context, accompanied by a mentor who walks alongside them at every stage.

Higher education scholarships

Our scholarships help cover tuition fees, transportation and living expenses to ensure that education is never halted due to lack of resources.

Applied learning and partnerships

We connect students with experts, companies, universities and professionals who broaden their worldview and provide practical tools for their future.

Sowing knowledge, cultivating community

Scholarship recipients return to the territory to participate in volunteer initiatives to share what they have learned and strengthen the social fabric of their community.
