Frequently Asked Questions / FAQ's

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions by our guests. Please consult these and contact us if you have any additional questions.

There are lots of things to do in Rincón del Mar! You can go birdwatching early in the morning in the tropical dry forest, take a canoe tour of the mangroves, a cooking class, a traditional percussion class, hatha yoga, bike tour, stand up paddle tour on sunrise, islands trip, snorkeling, plankton, etc. All of these activities are run and operated by members of the community so that they must be paid in cash directly. Prices for these activities vary between $30.000 and $80.000 per person. There is also scuba diving with Rincón Dive Center.

We also recommend spending an afternoon walking through the town so that you may explore the warm and welcoming Costeño culture of the people of Rincón.

*Prices may vary.

All the activities are run and operated by members of the community and Dos Aguas serves only as an intermediary, connecting you with local guides. We offer training, support and promotion to the local guides, and do not take any commissions.

The activities must be paid in cash directly to the guides.

We welcome to Dos Aguas children from 5 years of age.

We ask the parents to take into account that most of our guests are adults and the structure was not designed for children, and it is not sound-proof (sound transfers easily between the rooms). It is very important that children are accompanied by an adult at all times, that they do not run or yell on the building, and that you are considerate of the other guests’ repose.

The beach is ideal for children and the sea is usually very shallow and calm, nevertheless, children should not swim without adult supervision.

All our rooms face a tropical garden with doors opening fully to let the nature in.

The rooms are separated by wood and bahareque walls, and they are not sound-proof, meaning noise may transfer easily between the rooms. We ask all our guests to be aware of this and keep silence hours between 11 pm to 7 am, to wear headphones for listening to music/videos, and to use a low-volume to speak.

Also note that we are located in a Costeño town, and noise or music can often be heard from our neighbors. This is beyond our control and common to the local culture. We do have earplugs available for you at our reception upon request.

Our guests have access to unlimited broadband satellite internet. We are working to give you an excelente Wi-Fi service at all times, however, keep in mind that we are located in a rural area in Colombia, and electrical or technical issues are not uncommon and cannot always be solved quickly. We recommmend having mobile data by TIGO for urgent access to the internet.

By car the cost is $370.000 cop (for maximum 4 people). We don’t directly operate the service but we can connect you with trusted drivers. Please contact us one week before your arrival for this.
